Greetings from Georgia! So here I find myself in Georgia again. I can honestly say that I never imagined I would spend much time in Georgia other than my eventual quest to visit all 50 states but alas here I am again. Frontier airlines will probably become my best friend forever since they are the only budget airline that flies from Portland to Atlanta. Southwest makes it to Birmingham for oh so cheap, but that is a two hour drive from Atlanta so Frontier it is. Got here on Tuesday without much trouble, except that the Marta (city train here) station appeared to only have one accessible exit which was not on the street that the station is named after and I thus had to wait on a street corner for Scott to pick me up, in which time it started to rain and I was a little sad since I had gotten up at 3:30 that morning for my 6am flight only to get to Atlanta and be lost and rained on, hehe, but it was fiiiiiiiine, Scotty K pulled up in the trusty Subarau (now with a Georgia license plate, the California plate is currently the only decoration perched on a book shelf in the living room area), and I didn't really get rained on that much. After arriving at the apartamento we went grocery shopping. I spent the vast majority of yesterday sleeping which was awesome. I am much more awake today and I made cookies! Scott also has all of Arrested Development (and since I did not get sucked into it during college I am making up for that by planting my ass in front of Scott's computer for extended periods of time to watch episodes. In fact you should be happy that I took a forced break from watching it just to write this, you lucky people you).
Sooooooo we might be going to a Braves game tonight and if not that then who knows. I think I'm going to school with Scott tomorrow, since I know I wouldn't understand a word of what happens in any of his classes I might sneak into a biology class instead, hehe. Some of the classes have about 100 people in them so I don't think anyone would notice. Unless it turned out that they were taking a test that day or something, that'd be awkward. We also have plans to get Scott a dining room table and chairs since he currently eats either standing in the kitchen or at his computer desk. Last night we marked off a spot for the table and ate sitting on the floor at the pretend table. We also stopped by a CVS and bought some sweet plastic deck chairs which are temporarily housed in the living room. Yesterday we also explored the backyard area and got bit by about one million mosquitos in the process, bitch bugs.
ALSO. I am so done with that fricken GRE! Unless I did absolutely horribly on the writing I shall not be taking it again, yay! I got a 590 on verbal and a 700 on the quantitative part, not as impressive as I'm sure some of yours are but it should be good enough for vet school and thus good enough for me! On the issue essay I wrote about how history is awesome and important and I had 10min left at the end and the argument essay was really easy about how some guy was arguing that one cold medicine was clearly better than another but the argument sucked, as it was supposed to, so it was easy to pick apart.
And I'm done with my job at the crazy barn, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Some day I will have to write a post describing the quirks of the horses out there. Monday was my last day and I am thus unemployed but I plan on taking September to finally do my vet school applications while looking for another job (Jill your boss never responded to me : ( that's it for now, I'm going to try and avoid the mosquitos and stay inside with the A/C and the Bluths. adios!
