Picture Post!

Ok, so I know some of you don't believe that I was ever a happy child, but look here is proof!  Me on Suzy pony, the best pony in the world.  This is in front of our house, yes we used to bring our pony to our house and ride around in the field behind it.  One time we hooked her up to her cart and drove her from our house to the middle school and drove around on the field.  There's a really old sign way up in one of the trees in the middle school parking lot that says like "No Horses Allowed" or something silly like that.  After we all outgrew her we gave Suzy to our equine vet for her two little girls, Suzy is still working on teaching the second one to ride but is easing into retirement, she is pretty old afterall.

My mom may have bought the Pug a jack-o-lantern costume and she looked sooooooo ridiculous in it, even more than she usually does.  She didn't seem to mind the body part but she wasn't a fan of the hat portion.
Our awesome pumpkins.  I did the dragon and Liz did the witch.  Yeah, they were bitchin to say the least.
For work they had a pumpkin carving contest, mine didn't really fit into any of the categories but I really wanted to carve a DNA double helix so I did.  And I got a Starbucks giftcard for participating!

Pictures are fun eh?  Nothing much else is new.  I rode Ina in a lesson today with this dude.  I rode with him once over the summer too.  I like his style and he gave me some good ideas to keep working on.  He also had to remind me a few times to keep my elbows in and my shoulders back, I guess it has been too long since my hunt seat equitation lessons, I'm falling back into my Dressage habits, hehehe.  I will try harder, my elbows and my shoulders have always been my nemeses.  Ina was pretty good except there was this one spot on the arena wall where the rain had dripped down and she thought was pretty terrifying and backed away from it with impressive speed.  I also body clipped her on Thursday, which took forever because the clippers kept crapping out on me but she was very well behaved for most of it.  And now I don't have to spend an hour waiting for her to dry after I ride and she gets to sport her fancy new plaid blanket.  I also briefly rode Leanne's horse, Lace, today.  She is a little arabian who does western pleasure so very very different from dressage but still kind fun.  A little boring and loping is crazy because it is so slow.

I've started working Fridays in addition to Mondays and Tuesdays so that is good and kind of gets rid of the nagging feeling that I should have been looking for another job.  With work plus riding along with the equine vet I got 4 days covered.  I just started my physiology class through the UC Berkeley extension school and I'm hoping it won't be too difficult.

I've got about a week and half until I leave for NY and then in December I'm gonna go to Atlanta and visit Scott (and maybe swing a visit over to UGA to tour the vet school?) so I am very excited for that stuffs!
