at updating this, that is. Nothing too terribly exciting to report. I took Ina to her first schooling show on June 14th and she was awesome. She whinnied a bit in the stall but settled in and was very very well behaved under saddle, which is the part that really matters! We got a 63.9% at Training 1 and won the class and a 67.1% at Training 2 and got second so I was really happy with her. Trailering wasn't much of a problem either, she is still a little hesitant backing out the trailer, but I don't really blame her since she has to take a big step down and she can't see it. I entered her in the Lake Oswego show the first weekend of August so that will be her recognized show debut, woot woot! Other horsie things: Impy is doing pretty well, one of my mom's students and her adult daughter are leasing her and doing a good job with her. There is someone from New Jersey who is very interested in buying Lefty so we shall see how that all turns out.
Job is going well, I work all day Sunday and Monday and then half days Tuesdays and Fridays. The half days make me a little sad/jealous because I help set up jumps for the trainer that comes and then I watch her and the kids jump and it just makes me wanna jump! I'm hoping if I keep hinting at Chris, the barn owner, that I jumped a little at school and now miss it that maybe she'll let me jump Billy one day or something, hehe. Yesterday they didn't jump though and I got paid to take Casco out on a trail ride which was pretty sweet. I also learned how to give i.m (intra musculature) shots and gave them to 7 of the horses so I think I will now be doing that every week. Thankfully they were all very well behaved.
GRE studying is going...slowly but I'm making some progress on the math things that I haven't learned since elementary/middle school. Lauren does nothing except study for the mcat, luckily she's taking that on the 8th and will finally be done. Mmm, the pug is still fat and tiny is still ugly so not much to report on the dog front! I am totally going to clean Patty's cage today, I feel bad because I don't pay a whole lot of attention to her, though I'm not sure if she really notices, I think she'll be happy to be back with Chev someday (hint hint, wink wink) She is always noticeably less pudgy when I have her, I think because I don't give her samples of whatever I happen to be eating....
